WOW..I finally made it!!
I enjoyed this Learning Community: Web 2.0 program and I learned a lot of interesting things that I will use in my classroom. I had no idea there were so many cool resources on the internet. Some things I learned were how to use flickr, how to use the online image generator, how to locate educational blogs, and how to use a podcast. Throughout this program, I discovered useful classroom technology ideas. Even though it took me a while to complete each week, I am glad that I completed this program.

Week #6-Thing 15
I explored the creative commons website and found this free, non-profit website to be very beneficial to everyone.
The creative commons website provides free tools that let authors, scientists, artists, and educators easily mark their creative work with the freedoms they want it to carry. People can apply a creative commons license to their work. The license is based on copyright, so they apply to all works that are protected by copyright law. The kinds of works that are protected by copyright law are books, websites, blogs, photographs, films, videos, songs and other audio & visual recordings.

I explored popular blog, searches and tags on the Technorati website. I found many interesting or surprising things. I was amazed how many different categories this website offered. It showed the top 100 blogs and top searches by fans and by authority.
Week #6-Thing 13
I looked around Del.icio.us using the SJLibraryLearning2 account. I was able to see the comments they added about each bookmark and the tags they used to categorize each reference.
I see the potential of this tool for research assistance in the classroom. I liked the fact that I could read people's opinions about each site. Libraries can also take advantage of social bookmarking sites.
